The Library Board shall consist of
seven members. Five members shall be citizens at large, one member
shall be a resident of a township that contracts with the City of Midland
for library services and one member shall be an administrator/employee
from the Midland Public Schools.
The duties of the Library Board are as follows:
the City Council regarding written library user policies.
to requests from the library director.
and provide recommendations to the City Council on the development of
library service plans.
the use of the library among residents of the service area.
suggestions and review comments from the public regarding library
to the City Council annually.
other such functions as the City Council may direct.
