Santa Calling

Thank you!

A huge thank you goes out to all of the volunteers that worked with us this year.  In 2016 we called 330 children and we couldn't have done it without you!

Save the Date!

The dates for the 2017 Santa Calling Program will be December 12, 13, and 14, 2017!

What is Santa Calling?

Santa Calling is a program in which the City of Midland Parks and Recreation Department "patches calls through" from the North Pole to registered children. The program is free and is our way to promote the holiday spirit. Parents can register online or on a paper registration form. Registration for this program typically begins directly after Thanksgiving. For more information on Santa Calling, contact the Parks and Recreation Department.

Volunteer with Us!

Midland Parks and Recreation (and the children of Midland) need your assistance!  We are looking for Midland’s finest gentlemen to speak like Santa Claus during our annual Santa Calling program. We also take the lovely ladies to be Mrs. Claus and elves!

We need volunteers to “patch calls through” (pretend to be Santa) to the many children that sign up for the program. Calls are made from the Parks and Recreation Offices so you won’t be seen – only heard. We provide all Santas with talking points (reindeer’s names, etc.) and information about the children (pet’s names, gifts, etc.). We also provide refreshment to keep those voices in tip-top shape as well! Not a Santa?  We also may need Mrs. Claus and Elves, too! They are great for patching Santa in!
