Midland Parks and Recreation is delighted to announce the 7th Annual Pooches at the Pool Dog Swim! Owners will have the opportunity to fetch their Fido and take a swim before the pool closes for the season. Plymouth Pool features a zero-depth entry and a deep well - perfect for any pooch. Each dog (up to 30 per session) will get 30 minutes in the pool (owners age 8 and older are welcome to enter the water). Owners will be responsible for providing proof of vaccinations on the day of the event - thanks to the Midland Animal Clinic for verifying records. In addition, local canine organizations will be on hand to showcase their services and to provide volunteer assistance. Cost is $8/dog.
How It Works
Owners will have the opportunity to register (based on availability) their canine for one half-hour increment.
All canines will be required to be spayed or neutered, have a rabies vaccine and we strongly suggest a Distemper/Parvo and a Bordetella vaccine. Owners need to provide written proof of the vaccinations on the day of the event. Dog tags do not count! Dogs will not be permitted in the pool without verification of this information.
Each dog gets 30 minutes per session, session times listed below:
All dogs on deck! Preregistration and prepayment for this event is necessary. Registration will end when all spots are full and will only be taken on the day of the event if space is available. Registration begins on Monday, July 31, 2017 online, by mail or in person. It's a dog eat dog world so register early! This event will fill quickly. There are no refunds for this event.
