Zombie Run

Saturday, October 15, 2016 4:13 p.m.

Midland Parks and Recreation is teaming up with the Rock Center 4 Youth Development to offer Midland’s 3rd annual 5K Zombie Trail Run/Walk!

The 5K Zombie Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Midland City Forest. Races begin before night falls at 4:13 p.m. and racers have two running options:

1.  Choose to pretend like the world isn’t ending and run or walk the race among the many zombies; or

2.  Do your part at saving the remaining human race by running with your heart and your brains on your sleeve (aka flags), dodging zombie-infected teenagers!

Registration Information

Space is limited, so register early. The cost for this event is $25 until September 16, and $35 beginning September 17. Register at Parks and Recreation, 4811 N. Saginaw Road, or by clicking on the REGISTER button to the right. Plan to stick around City Forest with your family for a fall bonfire complete with s'mores and a zombie meet-n-greet.

Course Information

The Zombie 5K Trail Run/Walk is a trail run through a route of cross-country trails in city forest. At times, the terrain is a bit tough to maneuver (zombies will not be present in difficult areas). Zombies are local middle and high school kids who have been transformed for the day into flesh eating, human loving zombies.

As you enter the compound formerly known as City Forest, all vehicles will be searched, compliments of the Midland County Search and Rescue.
