This October Snack & Yak will be back! Are you hungry? For books? For snacks? For stimulating conversation? If so, join us after school to snack and yak about books. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be raised by wolves like Mowgli from The Jungle Book? Well, what if you were raised by ghosts? Read The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman and find out if the graveyard is as nurturing as the jungle. Copies of the book will be available at the Youth Services Desk.

Coding Boot Camp: HTML5
Wednesday, October 5 at 6:30 PM
We’ll cover how to make a webpage, how to format text, and how to link pages to build a website.
Coding Boot Camp: CSS
Wednesday, October 12 at 6:30 PM
We’ll cover basic web graphics, formatting, and menu construction. *Open to ages 13 and older.
Must have taken HTML5 or be knowledgeable of HTML5.
Coding Boot Camp: Java
Wednesday, October 19 at 6:30 PM
Learn how to make webpages functional. We’ll cover basic animation, interactive content, and web forms.
*CSS skills strongly recommended.

The library has four Kindles available for check out for use by patrons ages 6 to 17.
The Kindle eReader must be checked out on the parent's or legal guardian's library card.
The Kindles can be loaded with up to four OverDrive titles.
The Kindle has a checkout period of three weeks.
